Boardwalk closure till September due to necessary structural repairs.
The boardwalk in front of Eldorado Resort, stretching from the north side of the Manteo at Eldorado Resort to the edge of the Lakeside Dining Room, is temporarily shut to facilitate necessary repairs.
Work is required across multiple sections, with the boardwalk expected to reopen in September.
The closure follows a recent inspection that revealed deterioration in several sections. As a precaution, the entire boardwalk has been closed until repairs are complete.
Repairs will involve replacing deteriorated planks and supporting components to restore the boardwalk’s structural integrity.
Visitors are advised to adhere to construction signage and fencing for safety. Safe access to the Manteo marina will remain available.
