Public invited to join annual event celebrating mental health awareness.

Residents are invited to celebrate Mental Health Week alongside the City’s first responders at Stuart Park on Thursday, May 8.

The event features the 3rd annual First Responders Mental Health Games, with teams from the Fire Department, RCMP, Emergency Health Services, and Bylaw Services facing off in friendly competition.

Events will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Stuart Park Ice Rink, located at 1430 Water Street.

For the first time, this year’s games are open to the public, offering a chance to cheer on the city’s first responders as they participate in games emphasizing mental health and well-being.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore emergency service vehicles, visit information booths, and meet beloved safety mascots.

The games aim to celebrate the strength and resilience of those who work tirelessly to keep Kelowna safe.

The event promises a fun and engaging experience as participants compete to be crowned this year’s Mental Health Games champions.
