Policy designed to ensure fair user fees and reduce reliance on property taxes.

A proposed Fees and Charges Policy has been backed by the council, aimed at ensuring user fees are established in a fair, transparent, and consistent manner. The policy is designed to align costs with service beneficiaries, thereby reducing dependency on property taxes.

In an update to the council, the impact of the 2025 Montana’s Brier was discussed, highlighting that the event attracted over 89,000 spectators, of which 36 percent were from outside Kelowna. The Brier contributed a local economic impact of $15,200,744 and supported 121 jobs in the city.
