Aquatics center and gymnasium to undergo annual maintenance in September.

The Parkinson Recreation Centre’s aquatics center and gymnasium will be temporarily closed in September for annual maintenance and cleaning.

The swimming pools and aquatic facilities, including the steam room, hot tub, and change rooms, will close from Tuesday, Sept. 2, until Sunday, Sept. 14. These will reopen on Sept. 15.

The gymnasium and gym changing rooms will be closed from Sept. 15-19. Activities such as drop-in basketball or volleyball will not be available during this period. The gym will reopen on Sept. 20.

PRC monthly pass holders with active memberships can use the 50-meter pool at H2O Adventure + Fitness Centre, located at 4075 Gordon Drive, during the PRC maintenance closure. This benefit is not available for Punch Pass or Access Pass holders. Please refer to the website for available hours.

For gym access, facilities at Kelowna Family YMCA, located at 375 Hartman Road, can be used. PRC pass holders will have the time missed during the closure automatically added to their memberships.

These annual maintenance closures are essential to ensure a clean and safe facility for all users. The center appreciates residents’ patience and understanding during this maintenance period.
