Vehicle restrictions announced for major auto event set for August 16.
Downtown Kelowna Association’s 2025 Show N Shine will transform four blocks of Bernard Avenue, from Kerry Park to St. Paul Street, into a vibrant auto-focused event on Saturday, August 16.
This family-friendly showcase, taking place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., is part of the summer-long ‘Meet me on Bernard’ initiative and aims to attract car enthusiasts of all ages.
To accommodate the festivities, the 400 and 500 blocks of Bernard Avenue will be closed to vehicles from 7 a.m. until approximately 7 p.m. This extension will facilitate a full day of activities without the usual traffic interruptions.
In addition, a portion of Pandosy Street will close at 5:30 a.m. between the rear laneways on either side of Bernard Avenue, while through roads at Water and Ellis Streets remain open.
Parking will be restricted along several blocks, with prohibitions in effect from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Courtesy tows to the City Hall Parking Lot are arranged for vehicles left in these zones.
Real-time parking availability at the Library Plaza Parkade, Memorial Parkade, and Chapman Parkade can be checked online.
Residents are encouraged to ease traffic by opting for active transportation such as biking, walking, or carpooling.
