Overnight closures of K.L.O. Road to facilitate bridge replacement
Beginning Sunday, August 17 through Thursday, August 21, K.L.O. Road will be closed overnight from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. between Como Road and Leader Road. A detour will guide traffic via Fisher Road.
Motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians should anticipate delays and consider alternate routes when possible. Access to the closed segment will be limited to residents.
This closure is part of the K.L.O. Road Bridge Replacement project, encompassing bridge replacement, area improvements, and a new roundabout installation. These upgrades aim to enhance traffic flow, intersection safety, and support active transportation options in Southeast Kelowna.
Travelers are urged to follow safety personnel instructions, observe posted construction signs, and respect fencing to ensure everyone’s safety.
The City of Kelowna and the onsite crews express gratitude for the community’s patience during construction and apologize for any inconvenience.
