Pacific Coastal Airlines launches new route to enhance regional connectivity.

Pacific Coastal Airlines is set to launch a new service connecting Kelowna and Cranbrook starting October 27. The flights will operate daily using a 19-seat Beechcraft 1900 aircraft, promising passengers a comfortable and efficient 55-minute journey.

Mayor Tom Dyas hailed the new route as a significant boost to regional connectivity and economic growth. ‘We are grateful for our long-standing partnership with Pacific Coastal Airlines. The addition of new routes, along with the airport expansion underway, reflects the continued growth and importance of YLW as a regional transportation hub,’ Dyas said.

This addition marks another milestone in the 12-year partnership between the airline and Kelowna International Airport (YLW), underlining Pacific Coastal’s commitment to serving the community’s needs. The airline has also expanded service to Nanaimo, with twice-daily flights this winter, facilitating connectivity from Cranbrook to various destinations including Nanaimo, Comox, Victoria, and Prince George.

Jonathan Richardson, VP of Commercial at Pacific Coastal Airlines, noted the strategic importance of the new service. ‘It’s fantastic to once again offer non-stop service between Kelowna and Cranbrook, with our new schedule offering preferred morning and afternoon time of day flights,’ Richardson stated.

With 20 destinations across British Columbia, Pacific Coastal Airlines now serves more locations than any other airline in the region.

To celebrate the new route, the airline is offering a 20% discount on bookings made by August 20, using the promo code: YXC20. Flights can be booked on the Pacific Coastal Airlines website, through the Call Centre at 1-800-663-2872, or via travel agents.
