Residents advised to remain on alert despite lifted evacuation orders.

The following 118 addresses, previously under an evacuation order, are now permitted to return home but will remain on an evacuation alert.

Residents in the alert area are reminded to be prepared to leave on short notice if necessary. The evacuation alert for 490 addresses has been lifted.

With all evacuation orders now lifted, the Emergency Support Services reception center at Peachland Community Centre will close today at noon.

BC Wildfire has classified the Drought Hill wildfire as held. Updates to evacuation orders and alerts have been made.

Residents returning home are advised to inspect property and trees for issues or damage prior to re-entry.

Although no structural loss was reported, property owners are urged to start insurance claims if they suspect wildfire damage.

Firefighters continue mop-up efforts; expect active burning and movement of fire equipment. Report unexpected fire activity to *5555 or 911.
