Roadwork expected for two months on Chute Lake Road with detours in place.

Beginning Wednesday, August 6, Chute Lake Road will be closed between Barnaby Road and South Crest Drive.

The closure, set to last approximately two months, is for the final phases of construction on the Frost Road extension and Chute Lake Road roundabout.

Detours will be available via Lakeshore Road or Barnaby Road, and full road closure will expedite the construction process.

Motorists should use the detours and consider alternate routes when possible. A temporary pathway will be established for pedestrians and cyclists.

Emergency access will be maintained throughout the project.

The project aims to expand transportation options, streamline traffic, and improve safety in the area.

Additional improvements include new sidewalks, a multi-use pathway, street lighting, and utility upgrades.

Residents and commuters are urged to follow safety personnel instructions and posted signage for everyone’s safety.

The City of Kelowna thanks residents for their patience and apologizes for any inconvenience.
