Kane Road and Valley Road intersection will close starting June 24 for improvements.
Beginning Tuesday, June 24 to late October 2025, the Kane Road and Valley Road intersection will be closed for construction on a roundabout project. A detour will be in place via Glenmore Road.
Motorists are encouraged to use the detours in place and may wish to choose other routes when possible. A temporary pathway will be in place for pedestrians and cyclists to safely move through the construction zone.
The roundabout will provide easier access to the area and improve safety for vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians. The project will also bring improvements to the neighborhood, including lighting, bike lanes, and upgrades to storm water infrastructure.
Construction hours are Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. though work may occur outside of regular hours, including evenings, overnight, and weekends, to minimize impacts on residents by limiting the duration of active construction in the area. Safety personnel and signage will be in place.
The City of Kelowna and onsite crews appreciate your patience during construction and apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
