City of Kelowna begins construction on new recreational facility, expects completion by 2027.

The City of Kelowna has announced the commencement of construction on the new Parkinson Recreation Centre.

Crews and equipment are now on-site, potentially impacting nearby areas during the construction process. However, the existing PRC remains operational and accessible.

Kelowna officials extend gratitude for public patience amidst the upgrades, acknowledging potential inconveniences.

The revamped Parkinson Recreation Centre is slated for completion by the fourth quarter of 2027. Demolition of the current facility and completion of the courts are projected for 2028.
