$800,000 project to enhance infrastructure without affecting park accessibility.

Construction is slated to start this week on an $800,000 initiative aimed at upgrading the outdated irrigation infrastructure at Ben Lee Park. Despite the work, the park will remain accessible to visitors, with the project expected to conclude by September.

The construction will unfold in four phases, kicking off with phase one near the water park. Activity will be restricted to the southern half of the park, with completion of phase one anticipated before the water park’s May opening. Temporary closure of a section of the park’s southern parking lot will occur for construction staging.

Upgrades completed last year on the park’s north end laid the groundwork for these current improvements. The enhancements are designed to extend the life of the irrigation system, minimize maintenance expenses, and leverage modern flow sensing technology to lower water usage.
